Clean Electricity

Future Power Expo 2024 will highlight solar, wind, and hydroelectric energy, along with energy storage and green hydrogen technologies, crucial for Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 goal of sourcing 50% of its power from renewables. Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 aims to diversify the energy mix and reduce reliance on oil, targeting 50% of its electricity from renewable sources by 2030. The Kingdom has several significant renewable energy projects, including the 300 MW Sakaka PV IPP solar project and the 400 MW Dumat Al Jandal wind farm.

Solar energy advancements, leveraging the country's sunny climate for a planned 58 GW capacity by 2030, and wind energy solutions, suitable for large-scale desert projects, will be showcased. Although limited by geography, hydroelectric innovations will also be featured.

Critical energy storage solutions, including cutting-edge batteries, will enhance grid reliability. Green hydrogen, targeted to reach 2.9 million tons annually by 2030, represents a major focus, utilizing renewable resources for domestic use and export.
